Tomb of The Unknown Soldier Project

Tomb Of the Unknown Soldier Pistol
Arlington National Cemetery

3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard)

The Task

We were both honored and privileged to be part of the skilled team of gunsmiths and craftsmen who participated in the production of the Sig Sauer ceremonial M17 pistols. The four intricately designed pistols were presented to the Old Guard at The Tomb of The Unknown Soldier during a ceremony that took place at the Arlington National Cemetery Chapel on October 11, 2018.

Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

The Process

Using both cutting edge laser technology and creative knowledge we formatted and deeply engraved the sight plates of the pistols with sculpted and highly detailed impressions of the three Greek figures; Peace, Victory and Valor from the East panel of the Tomb.

The Results

The results speak for themselves! A beautiful polished PCD coated sight plate featuring even the smallest details from the Greek figures Peace, Victory, and Valor on the East panel of the tomb.  Inside of the sights is marble powder collected from the tomb its self.

We are proud and honored to have been asked to be part of this amazing collaboration of talent for this important, historical American ceremony. We are grateful for the opportunity to pay respect to soldiers who dedicate their lives protecting our nation. We thank them for their service.
